Where Latte finds out, Where is Dr. Sanders?

I was walking around meowing, nothing new for me, talking to my peeps and noticing the trusty leader of this ship has gone missing. Vacation again? I thought??!! But then… I found out! She’s in sunny Orlando Florida at some big National Veterinary Conference called the NAVC. She’s getting re-inspired with her peers and bringing back oodles of knowledge to share with the rest of the staff and continue this practice on a great 2016! She even sent some pictures I can share with you, along with did you know questions! Lots of new information and educational classes for all

Where Latte tells a story about Charlie, Lyme disease and Laser Therapy.

Charlie, as you can see is a golden retriever.  The Golden Retriever has held the 3rd most popular breed in AKC history for many years running, just so you know.  Charlie is 6 years old.  She has had some sensitive issues in the past and finally my fearless leader found a food that did not make her vomit or have diarrhea.  This is not a story about vomit or diarrhea thank goodness. This is about Lyme disease.  Lyme disease can take a number of forms I am told.  It can impact joints, heart, the nervous system and the kidneys.

Where Latte is a recipient of a very special gift…

So what is this Angel Fund all about~ Just to refresh everyone’s memory, I was a stray cat, an old stray cat living outside on my own.  That is the definition of stay cat.  Ok where was I?  Oh ya, I wanted to talk about the emergency fund we have at Taylor Brook Animal Hospital. This is a fund that was set up for our clients who have fallen on hard times and need some financial assistance.  The fund is generated solely by contributions from generous clients, quilt raffles, bottle drives, pet expo thingy’s, (I have had to go to

Where Latte has no time for Fleas & Ticks… “Ain’t nobody got time for that!!”

Hello all, Latte here, cat extraordinaire and knower of most things veterinary.  Spring is trying its best to spring and you all know what that means:  warmer days, greener grass, bluer skies, birds chirping and bugs!  I am not, however, talking about buzzing bees, crawling beetles or webbing spiders, I am talking about those tiny little pests who think we cats and dogs are a free lunch – fleas and ticks.  Yes, with warmer weather those tiny little parasites will be out, and looking to snack on your furry family members.  I am lucky here at Taylor Brook Animal Hospital

Where Latte goes to Dental Awareness night…

Hi All! Latte here… So they dragged me in all my purrfectness to see the public at the Auburn Library Tuesday night to be witness to my wonderful technicians talk about Dental Awareness. Even share some pictures of my dental recently. Good stuff. I even brought along the presentation to share with you on here in my blog. Dental Presentation 2015 I of course had my photographer follow me and take some great shots of myself and the goings on.  (see those below)     The Auburn Library has lots of great stuff happening- and they let me in, and

Where Latte has a dental…

As many of you already know February is National Pet Dental Month. Taylor Brook Animal Hospital celebrates dental month every month. The doctors and technicians feel very strongly about dental care and want to make sure all the patients we see have the best dental care available. When I first decided to live here the doctors gave me a thorough going over and noticed that I had some tarter build up on my back teeth. They picked a day for my dental and got right down to business. That was my first dental. I’d like to tell you about that experience

Where Latte is looking at his innards…

It’s here. It’s finally here!! Digital X-Ray folks; that’s what I’m talking about. For the past few months, all I have heard from the girls is “when is it coming”? So I’m happy to announce it has been installed and ready to show off your critters’ innards. As a practice run I graciously volunteered (not) to show off my lovely insides, (there in the photo).   The digital X-Ray has high resolution exposure that shows every nook and cranny of your pets’ insides. And the time to take the X-Rays has decreased from a few minutes to a few seconds.

Where Latte sees “outback”…

Hey it’s Latte We had the Sun Journal here the other day, maybe you saw the write up in the City section of the paper. The journalist was interested as to why I write. Of particular interest to almost everyone who ever brings a pet to the vet is the mysterious ” outback”. As in “they took my cat outback…” outback. I live outback. I watch everything that goes on outback. The outback is not a worrisome place for me. What I know about my doctors though, is that they hardly ever bring the other cats out back. They don’t ever say why. Maybe I am just

Vaccine class…

Hi All Latte here… I’ve been thinking, more people need to meet my technicians. So guess what my technicians are up to now?!?!! I have them signed up to host a class at RSU 16 Adult Education on vaccines! Do you wonder why my veterinarians recommend certain vaccines for certain pets and while they don’t for others? Come and talk to my technicians. They take great care of me and they know their stuff. They will do a great job at explaining what vaccine is for what, and why. I’m hoping I get to make a guest appearance. To register or
